Guidelines for presentations

The official language of the symposium is English.
Oral Presentations
The lecture room will be equipped for projection in PowerPoint. Other formats for making presentations will not be available. Please bring your presentations on a USB memory stick or CD in MS-Power Point or Adobe PDF format and submit it at Registration desk at the congress venue. We would greatly appreciate if you could send the presentations to us by email in advance (a day or two before the meeting)
All speakers are requested to respect the time of their presentation. Follow the timetable given in the programme Count less than one slide for each minute allocated for the talk.
PowerPoint Instructions
Please use only the versions of Power Point: PP 97-2003 95 (*.ppt) or 2007, 2010 (.pptx) to guarantee that your presentation will be opened successfully on an on-site PC. Adobe PDF format is also acceptable. Power Point presentations should not have the macros (.pptm, .ppsm). Choose colours, contrasts and font sizes that maximise visibility of your presentation at room light. Suggested fonts are Arial, Calibri, Tahoma. If you insist on using different fonts, these must be embedded into your presentation. Avoid small font sizes. Font size 24 is usually a minimum size for the text, but the size can preferably be larger, both in text and headings.
In case of inserted images, JPG images are the preferred file format which should be embedded into the presentations. Don’t use images higher than 200 dpi.
We cannot assure support for embedded videos in your presentation. Videos that require additional reading or projection equipment (e.g., VHS cassettes) will be not possible.
In order to avoid any problems with your presentation, please make sure it fulfils the necessary requirements
Notes for invited lecturers:
- the time available for invited lectures is 20-25 minutes (5-10 minutes for discussion)
- the authors are kindly asked to send presentations (ppt or pdf) by e-mail till Oct, 8
Notes for short communications:
- the time available for short oral presentations is 10 minutes
- the authors are kindly asked to send presentations (ppt or pdf) by e-mail till Oct, 8
Poster Presentations
Please respect the size of the poster board (i.e. the maximum size of the poster) which is 95 cm (height) x 75cm (width). Text size must be large so that the poster can be read from a distance.
Posters should be posted on the first day (during registration or coffee break). Poster session will take place in the lecture room according to th program. The chair of the session will shortly present the posters, however the authors are kindly invited to add information, answer the questions and join the common discussion. For that purpose we would appreciate getting your poster also as one slide presentation, The authors are kindly asked to send an A4 (one slide) poster by e-mail till Oct, 8
Notes for session chairmen:
- chairmen are kindly asked to prepare a short (10-15 minutes) summary of posters, which will be presented at the end of each session (please note that the posters will be available as ppt presentation)
- to enable your work a supplement of Acta Agriculturae Slovenica will be available on-line prior to the beginning of the symposium
